“We ate in the restaurant, enjoying the 6 course menu. The restaurant is setup such that even when full each table still feels private. Service was unobtrusive but warm and professional. Food was excellent- fresh ingredients, good use of taste, colour and texture. A great meal, if slightly on the expensive side.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our recent weekend stay, for our special occasion. The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly, attentive and helpful. Our luxurious room was beautifully decorated and the bed very comfortable. All of our meals were delicious, and we were very impressed with the extensive wine list. Our whole experience was delightful, no doubt due to the great attention to detail that everyone has here. The fabulous grounds and gardens add to the serenity of this beautiful place. “We stayed one night and we had dinner on site. This is a beautiful house in a very delicate English garden. From the moment we arrived, the staff looked after us, made us feel welcome and very special. We had an exceptional dinner with a 6 courses menu served at perfect temperature and with paired wines, recommended by the sommelier. The breakfast was also a beautiful experience in the exquisitely decorated dining area. 2 comments for this place to be really heaven on earth: . Sleep: the mattress was very very soft to a point we did not sleep well at all. It felt like we were sleeping on a waterbed, which is very uncomfortable especially after dinner. . The selection of champagne is very good, however £25/£30+ a glass plays the magic of the place down.”

“I booked lunch at Fischer’s to celebrate my surprise proposal to my partner which I decided to do just before lunch nearby at Bamford Edge. Fischer’s were incredibly helpful and made the day extra special with little added touches. When we arrived, they were waiting for us with two glasses of champagne, then when we got to the table, the waiter gave us a Baslow Hall postcard which had been signed by the staff to commemorate the day. The food and the service were both exceptional and we had a superb lunch to celebrate our engagement which was perfect. Finally, they gave us a complimentary slice of carrot cake to finish the meal off - this was also very tasty! Thank you to all of the team at Fischer’s who went above and beyond to make this special day even more memorable. We will be back! Would highly recommend!”
